The Mistreated - Cambridge's premier rock covers band. Formed in 2006 and fronted by Gwenda Dale, The Mistreated provide first-class entertainment and top-draw musicianship for any rock event or party.

Examples of the band performing some of their repertoire can be found on the music page, plus you can check when they're playing next on the gigs page. An all-new recording, representing the current line-up, is scheduled for March 2009 at the band's Royal Standard, Ely gig. More anon.

Bernard 'Bern' Reeve - Guitar

Bernard 'Bern' Reeve is a seasoned guitarist who has been playing more years than he cares to remember. He started playing through listening to Hendrix and Cream trying to rip off solos and licks while trying not to scratch his treasured LPs on his old Dansette record player. He progressed through the '70s with a staple diet of Deep Purple and Black Sabbath; through the '80s with Ozzy's various guitarists, Stevie Ray Vaughan and the new British metal bands. The '90s influence was with all the usual widdle-fest heroes including Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, Yngwie Malmsteen, Paul Gilbert etc and into the 21st century with all his favourites from the last 30 years.

Bern has played in numerous bands over the years in and around the UK and also several years in California dipping in to varied styles but always coming back to his love of rock & blues. Constantly in the search of the ultimate guitar tone he has accumulated quite a collection of equipment, you can never have enough!

With a love of all things audio Bern has worked for a couple of the leading Pro Audio companies as an electronic engineer and enjoys recording music and all the technology behind it. Currently working at the same company as Martin and might consider working with Gwenda but he's probably best sticking to making stuff rather than being nice to people!

The Mistreated band gives Bern the perfect vehicle to do what he likes best and more importantly having a good laugh with a few beers along the way.
